Dilly the Make-up Artist June 27, 2008

Here’s something a lot of people don’t really know about me. I do make-up. And this morning, I had a bride to beautify before she went off to be legally married over in Putrajaya.

Now, I don’t really market myself. I just don’t have the time! Whatever job I do get is usually by word-of-mouth or a friend-of-a-friend type of scenario (to be honest, I do make-up more as a passion than as a means of income). And that was the case with this morning’s client, Alrina, a pretty young woman from Taiping.

I met Lee Ling several months before that at her friend’s (Y Y) wedding which was held in Sarawak. Lee Ling was the bridesmaid and I was asked to do her makeup and I had done the bride’s church, tea-ceremony, evening make-up for the first day and the day make-up for the 2^nd day. Don’t have decent enough pics to show of Alrina unfortunately but what I could get for now looks like this (am currently waiting for her to find the time to send me more snapshots of herself). She asked for “natural” but still wanted something to match her sweet little dress…
